The Truth about Off Roading

There are some common, recurring arguments used to support -- or at least not restrict -- unfettered use of dirt bikes and other Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) on public lands. These arguments have been raised yet again to back continued ORV use at the BLM-managed ORV area beside the West Walker River at Wilson Canyon. This report responds to those arguments by examining the assumptions behind them and correcting them with common sense, legal realities and science-based  information.
