There are some common, recurring arguments used
to support -- or at least not restrict -- unfettered use of dirt bikes and other
Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) on public lands. These arguments have been raised yet
again to back continued ORV use at the BLM-managed ORV area beside the West
Walker River at Wilson
Canyon. This
report responds to those arguments by examining the assumptions behind them and
